Join us for an empowering and educational day on the mountain designed specifically for youth aged 10–15! This hands-on training experience introduces young riders to the essentials of safe, responsible, and confident mountain travel.
Participants will learn:
• Introduction to avalanche safety and understanding basic terrain awareness
• Trail etiquette and best practices for shared mountain spaces
• Safe riding skills for both trail and off-trail environments
• How to properly use emergency devices and essential safety gear
• Real-world tips for making smart decisions in the backcountry
All learning takes place on the mountain, guided by experienced instructors and supported by HRSA, the CK Memorial Society, and Avaware.
Requirements:
• Riders must bring their own machine (no 200cc models), Must be confident riding off-trail in safe terrain and Each youth must be accompanied by an adult
This is a fantastic opportunity for young riders to build safety foundations that will last a lifetime—while having fun and connecting with others who love the sport.
