"Thanks To All Whom Attended the Work Bee!!" - Beginning October, HRSA Monthly Meetings will be the First Tuesday of Every Month

Welcome to the Hunters Range Snowmobile Association

Located in  Enderby, BC and some of the driest powder to be found. We have over 300 members and have been maintaining the trails in the Hunters Range for about 30 years. We have about 90 kms of groomed trails and riding terrain to suit all riders whether your into the steep & deep hill climbing or carving in the meadows or just riding the groomed trail to the main chalet with the kids. Its about 16 miles from the main parking lot top of Watershed Road to the first chalet and once we have the snow we groom to the alpine cabin. Average snow fall 12-22 ft in the alpine.

Check out the events calendar as we have some dates you won't want to miss! when the  grooming is under way don't forget to check the trail conditions daily as we will try to update the trails and fresh snow as it falls.

President's Memo:

I'm really struggling to get my head around the fact that it's going to be the 2010 snowmobile season in just a few short weeks. We had a pretty rough season last year with the cold weather, lack of snow and extreme avalanche conditions. Our numbers were down as far as our day users went which has lead to our revenue being down. Fortunately we have had a couple of decent years prior to this and we have the funds necessary to do the required maintenance on the Cats to get started this year. To help combat the losses from last season the directorship has decided to put membership prices back up to where they were two seasons ago. The club is offering an early bird price for those who sign up before November 30th. I hope everyone enjoyed the Snow show at the Wesbild center in Vernon, which was a great venue. The club had a great response selling over 50 memberships. I hope this event can continue to take place here in the Okanagan. The BCSF had its AGM on the Friday night and HRSA was well represented and had lots questions for the board. It sounds like there is some head way being made on the mandatory registration for ATVs. All we can do is wait and see.

We have a great bunch of people on the directorship once again, thank you for stepping up. There was a nice group of people who turned out for Chalet work bee and we were able to accomplish the work at hand and still be home at a decent hour. Thank you volunteers. There are 2 work bees coming up for the snow cats so please come out and help if you can.

Unfortunately the golf course club house is not going to open at Mabel Lake this winter. It sure was a great place to eat last year. I would like to thank the owners of the Golf Course for continuing to support the snowmobile club by providing us with the snow cat and groomer for the Laforge trail.

Cory and myself are busy twisting arms raising support through our local businesses in Enderby, Armstrong, Vernon and Salmon Arm. I would like to thank these businesses for their continued support and we will have the new ads out by the time we start to groom the trails.

Send in more pics if you have them.

Still President
